Mr. and Mrs. Bill Finlen, 6257 E. 3000 N Rd Apt
128, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary
April 3, 2001. A Mass will be celebrated in honor of
the couple at noon on April 8, after which the couple
will celebrate with immediate family by having
a dinner at their home.
The former Anne Ondrey and Bill Finlen were
married April 3, 1961, at St. Stephen's Church.
Monsignor George Dzuryo officiated at the ceremony.
Attendants were Evelyn (Ondrey) McMillion,
Reno, Nev., sister of the bride, and the late
Michael Finlen, brother of the groom.
The couple are the parents of Jennifer Finlen,
who is married to Mark Benstine, Oswego; Tim
Finlen, and Margaret Finlen, who is married to
Kevin Jenkins, Streator; Bill (Carla Seroka)
Finlen, Lexington; and Brenda Finlen, who is married
to Kevin Harms, Bloomington. The honorees
have seven grandchildren.
Bill is retired from Owens-lllinois after 43 years.
Anne is retired from Woodland School.
