Mr. and Mrs. Eugene (Pbyllis) Heider of 106 S.
Putnam, Lostant, 61334, will celebrate their 50th
wedding anniversary with an open house at the
Lostant Fire Station from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday,
June 2, 2001. The open house is being hosted by
their children.
The former PhyUis Moore and Eugene "Snick"
Heider were married June 2, 1951, at St. John's
Catholic Church, Lostant. The late Rev. Julius
Zane officiated at the ceremony.
Attendants were Lois (Evans) Hoskins, now
deceased, cousin of the bride; Lorraine (Arenz)
Martin, Wenona, cousin of the groom; Beverly
(Wilson) Harcharik, Streator; Deanna (Moore)
Whiteaker, Ottawa, sister of the bride; Bernard
Farero, Effingham; Donald Moore, Streator, brother
of the bride; Russell Heider, Streator, brother of
the groom; Randy Strode, Apopka, Fla., nephew
of the groom; Dean Brierly, Lostant-brother-in-law
of the couple; and Lowell Jensen, now deceased.
The couple are the parents of nine children:
Mary Kay (Mrs. Tim) Kozak, Jean (Mrs. Jim)
Gentert, Robert (Denise) Heider and Susanne
Camatti, all of Lostant; Nancy (Mrs. Steve)
DeRubeis of Wenona, Jacquehne (Mrs. Max) Actis
of Spring Valley, James (Sue) Heider of Oglesby,
Ronald (Char) Heider of Peru, and Gary (Linda)
Heider of Washburn. They have 23 grandchudren
and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Heider is retired from FS Fertilizer Plant in
Lostant. PhyUis was employed at Lipton Tea in
Streator and the Century Cafe in Lostant.
