Mr. and Mrs. Francis McInerney celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary June 30, 2001 with
a family party at Monte's Riverside Inn, Ottawa,
which was given by their children.
The former Mary Lou Southard and Francis J.
McInerney were married June 9, 1951 at St.
Lawrence in Elgin.
Attendants were the late Ruth McInerney McKown,
sister of the groom, formerly of La a
and Ryan Cawley of La Salle.
The couple are the parents of Shawn (Mrs.
Scott) Grigsby, Bella Vista, Ark.; Kelly (Mrs.
John) Schroeder, Mason, Ohio; and Erin (Mrs.
Ken) Yuhas, Streator. They have four grandehildren
and one great-grandchild.
Francis is a retired Streator High School counselor
and Mary Lou is a retired Streator Grade
School teacher.
