Mr. and Mrs. Allen Missel Sr. of 312 W. Morell
Street will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary
Saturday, March 31, 2001. An open house will
be held from 2-5 p.m. at Town and Country Bar
and Grill. They will also mark the occasion with a
trip to Georgia and Branson, Mo.
The former Elizabeth (Betty) Mahnke married
Allen Missel on April 8, 1951, at Central Church of
Christ.
Attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Paul (Rosemary)
Missel, Streator, sister of the bride and brother of
the groom.
Betty is the daughter of Elizabeth Mahnke,
Streator, and the late Roy Mahnke. Allen is the
son of the late Ervin and Minta Missel.
The couple are the parents of four children:
Allen (Lori) Missel Jr. and Lynn (Mrs. Lloyd)
Hillyer, both of Streator; Kelvin Missel,
Willowbrook, and Kerry (Kathy) Missel, Lawrenceville,
Ga, They have nine grandchildren and two
great-grandsons .
Allen is employed by Sauder Implement as a
combine technician.
