Mr. and Mrs. William Nolan, of
206 N. Walnut, Wenona, 61377,
celebrated their 50th wedding
anniversary on Sunday, July 8,
2001, with a Thanksgiving Mass
at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary's
Church, Wenona. A family dinner
followed at 1 p.m. at Georgetown
in Wenona.
The former Marilyn Ede and
William Nolan were married
July 7, 1951, at Immaculate
Conception Church in Streator.
Attendants were Nancy (Ede)
Martin, Cherokee Village, Ark.,
sister of the bride, and Patrick
Nolan, Milwaukee, Wis., brother
of the groom.
The couple have five children:
Mike (Diane) Nolan, El Paso;
Sharon (Mrs. Loren) Gerdes,
Gridley; Peg (Mrs. Chris) Goh,
St. Charles; the Rev. Tim Nolan,
Pekin; and Jerry Nolan, deceased.
They have eight grandchildren
and one great-grandson.
William is retired from farming.
