Mr. and Mrs. Mark O'Rourke, 30610 N. 00 East
Rd., celebrated their 25th wedding annivmary at
a surprise family dinner June 30, 2001, hosted by
John and Louise Devera and Shelly Carter.
The former Marla Devera and Mark O'Rourke
were married July 3, 1976 at St. Patrick's Church,
Ransom. The late Rev. Francis Kasperski officiated
at the ceremony.
Attendants were Ronni (Rundblad) Zito,
Streator; Shelly (Micklos) Carter, Streator, cousin
of the bride; Susan (Centko) Schmitt, East Peoria,
Christ Thomas, Ottawa; Dave Thomas, Grand
Ridge; and Michael Schoger, Rockford.
The couple are the parents of Nathan and Ryan,
both at home.
Mark is employed as a carpenter with Local 916,
St. Charles.
Marla is the daughter of John and Louise Devera,
Streator; and Mark is the son of Jeanette
O'Rourke, Safford, Ariz., and the late Sylvester
O'Rourke.
