Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Riss of rural Ransom will
celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary April 29,
2001. They will mark the occasion on April 28 with
a family dinner. A cruise is planned for a later
date.
Joyce and Floyd Riss were married April 29,
1951, in the Evangelical Church of Ransom, The
Rev. Dale Doverspike officiated at the ceremony.
Attendants were Bettv (Hagi) Donovan of Dwight
and Dale Wanting of Florida.
The couple are the parents of Beverly Schmidt,
St. Paul, Neb., and Jeffrey, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
They have four grandchildren.
Floyd and Joyce farmed in the Ransom area
until retiring in 2000.
