Mr. and Mrs. Vitus "Mike"
Wester of 405 S. Fifth Avenue,
will celeberate their 50th wedding
anniversary from 1 to 5
p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2001, with
an open house at Streator Moose
Family Center.
The former Betty Pemberton,
Pontiac, and Vitus Wester,
Leonore, were married July 17,
1951, at Sts. Peter and Paul
Church in Richland Township.
The Rev. P.E. Arenesberg, now
deceased, officiated at the ceremony.
Attendants were Lois
(Frangenberg) Stried of Peoria,
niece of the groom, and Willard
Lock, who lived in Lostant, now
deceased, brother-in-law of the
groom.
The couple are the parents of
a daughter, Helen (Mrs. Robert)
Harsted, Streator. They have
three grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
"Mike" is retired from Thatcher
Glass Manufacturing and also
worked for Model Paris Cleaners
for a number of years.
